Perry Timms is the Founder and Chief Energy Officer of PTHR - a niche consultancy, with the mission to create better business for a better world.
Perry is a Chartered member of the CIPD and a Fellow of the RSA. He is a 5x member of HR Magazine’s HR Most Influential list, making the top 10 in 2018, 2019 & 2021 and ranked Number 1 Most Influential Thinker in HR for 2022. In 2023, Perry was inducted into the HR Most Influential Hall of Fame.
In March 2024, Perry was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award from WorldBlu for his contribution to self-managed, democratic, freedom-centred systems of work. In May 2024, he was named People & Culture Global Icon by the People & Culture Association. Since 2021, Perry has also been listed on the Inspiring Workplaces Global Engagement 101 list.
He is an international speaker and two-time TEDx speaker and an award-winning writer on the future of work, HR, and learning. He is also a certified Semco Style Institute Expert in Self-Managed systems of work. His 2017 book Transformational HR was named one of the Top 100 Business Strategy books of all time and published as a second edition in July 2021. His second book - The Energized Workplace - was published in August 2020 and was shortlisted for the UK Business Book of the Year 2021. In 2025, Perry will publish The HR Operating Model: Designing a People Function that Supports the Workforce and the Business.
Perry is an Adjunct Professor at Hult International Business School and Ashridge Management School and a visiting fellow at Cranfield School of Management and Sheffield Hallam University. He is a LinkedIn Learning instructor and a member of the European Organisation Design Forum, the People and Culture Association, and the OD Academy.
